Hi Class!

I am so excited to start this semester with you. There are so many things we will learn together, so I hope you are ready for the journey! Use the left menu to find your assignments, grades, new announcements, and the syllabus.

Assignments are best accessed through "modules"; each module contains ALL the assignments you must do for the week, which will help you not miss any of them. Each assignment will be laid out for the week along with its due dates. Be sure to remain updated on what is due and when.

Review the Syllabus for further details concerning what you will learn and what will be expected from you during this semester.

If you have any further questions, reach out to my teaching assistant, Shimran Sharma (her contact information is above), or find my office hours in the syllabus. You can also use forums to ask your questions; your classmates and instructors will help you!

Note to freshmen:

First, WELCOME to the University!!

Most of you are discovering life far from home, the freedom to be an adult, but also the stress related to it. Indeed, being an adult comes with some pros and some cons. Being free is wonderful, but it also means no one will be there to push you to do your homework. Many students struggle in the first year of college because they are not ready for the freedom they get.

We created an introductory video just for you guys, so please watch it!

Please, do not get trapped by this new freedom you have, and use it wisely. No one likes to realize in week 13 that they have wasted their time. I advise you to read the pages "How to create a study plan" and "What do successful students do?", which will help you to stay organized throughout the semester. I also advise you to read "What is the best way to study for an exam?" and to apply the tips given. All of these can be reached through the links provided or in the "Student Resources" section in modules.

Education is hard; it requires effort and time. But, if you stay stick to it, I promise you will not regret it!
