Course Syllabus
"Oh, I can do that later. . ."
I want you to be successful in this course.
Each week, you will have reading, homework, and chapter quizzes to complete. There is a temptation to think in-person activities are more urgent than online work. The problem is that your online assignments pile up, and you need to catch up. Follow the weekly schedule and stay on top of your assignments.
You should log in at least thrice weekly to finish your work. Use the Canvas Calendar and create alerts on your phone or computer for lesson due dates or anything else you think you might forget! Set up your Notifications in Canvas as well. (You can receive notifications via text.)
Submit your assignments well before the cut-off time (usually when the first week's session starts or 11:59 p.m. on Saturdays), or you risk the assignment closing and losing your score.
It would be best to take your quizzes from a reliable computer; you must get to a computer to complete your work on time. Go to school, your local library, or a friend's house if your computer crashes or your Internet goes down. I will not reopen quizzes if they are missed or locked up after the due date, so please give yourself enough time to find a solution if there is a problem.
